 | AW BUJANOVAc NEWS: American Window Bujanovac Anniversary Celebration |
  On August 25th 2008, the American Window Bujanovac celebrated its third anniversary. Many people gathered at the AW that day for the celebration and cocktail which began at noon. The AW Coordinator, Berat Idrizi, greeted the guests in all three languages: Serbian, Albanian and English. Many English teachers came to the celebration, as well as the Mayor of Bujanovac, the Public Library Director and the directors of all local primary and high schools. The event was covered by two local TV stations and one weekly newspaper.

This month, it is “Love Poems” by Nikki Giovanni, a world-renowned poet, writer, commentator, activist, and educator. One of the most widely-read American poets, Nikki Giovanni prides herself on being "a Black American, a daughter, a mother, a professor of English.”
